Our privacy policy and how we use your data

How your personal or company data will be used

During your usage of this toolkit, we (i.e., the National Center for APEC, or "NCAPEC", and Access Partnership) may collect information about your company, operations, and performance to assess your company's level of supply chain resilience, based on our proprietary framework. Alongside that, we collect your contact information at the point of signing-up to facilitate access and retrieval of data pertaining to your company. We also use cookies only for log-ins, with data being kept up to 24 hours.

We require all abovementioned information to assist you with your usage of the toolkit, and to ensure results are as relevant as possible to your unique company situation and performance. Your information may be shared among NCAPEC and Access Partnership employees for further analysis.

We expressly do not utilize any of the information for marketing and commercial purposes beyond that which is mentioned above. In particular, we WILL NOT:

  • Publish or publicize individual and identifiable responses or publish analyses with singular reference to it, such as one-to-one competitor performance analyses;
  • Direct promotional campaigns to you, your company, or associates using any information collected from this toolkit; and
  • Sell information collected from this toolkit to third parties.

We collect all data in strict confidence. Where data is publicized, it will be aggregated to remove any potential attribution of results to any single user or company.

Storage and protection

To safeguard both you and your company's confidential data, we will electronically store and transmit these data with appropriate security technologies. We usually keep this information for us long as it is required to execute our services and to maintain continuity of this toolkit.

We observe strict compliance with international regulations in managing storage and transfer of electronic data, and will utilize reasonable technical and organizational measures to manage risk. In the event of data breaches, we will notify users within a reasonable timeframe.

Although every reasonable effort has been made to ensure that all data will be protected, we cannot be responsible for any unauthorised use or misuse of such information and from risks which are inherent in all Internet communications.

Your rights

You have a number of rights with regards to how your data is protected.

Access and amendment of personal data

Our toolkit provides you the access and ability to rectify your personal details. Any information which is processed by automated means and is purely required for the performance of the toolkit may be transmitted to another data controller for purposes of running the toolkit.

You may amend personal details, such as name, email address, or telephone number, at your own convenience. If it becomes our intention to use your information for any other reason, we shall advise you of those intentions prior to using the information for the additional purpose(s) as well as advising you of any other details within this statement which may be affected.

Withdrawal of consent

You also have the right to ask for the processing of your personal data to be restricted or even erased. Whether or not you exercise the right to erasure, NCAPEC and Access Partnership will erase your personal data in certain situations and particularly when the data is no longer required.
